Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Hedrig Pokousha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lincoln Xerex (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Xerex has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Lincoln Xerex has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Hedrig Pokousha!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Lincoln Xerex!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Fedor Mirinova.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pokousha misses with a body shot.
Horrible takedown by Pokousha or perhaps it was just good defense by Xerex which made him look bad.
Pokousha throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Xerex was covering up waiting for the punch and Pokousha finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Xerex is looking to stand back up but Pokousha counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Xerex.
Pokousha working over Xerex with some ground and pound. Xerex looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Pokousha will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Pokousha winds up and cracks Xerex with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Pokousha lands strikes from half guard.
Pokousha scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Xerex is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Pokousha scores with a couple of nice shots.

Pokousha looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Pokousha scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Pokousha takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Xerex looks gassed!
Pokousha slows the pace down in half guard.
Pokousha is nestled in close to Xerex, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Pokousha content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Pokousha looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Xerex with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Xerex wants to get back to his feet.
Pokousha seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Pokousha seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Pokousha lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Xerex quite badly. Xerex pulls Pokousha in close trying to recover. Pokousha postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Xerex on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Xerex doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Hedrig Pokousha!
