Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eli Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tiago Silvain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Eli Williams!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 24 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tiago Silvain!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Trevor Gratis and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silvain pivots, looking for a leg kick but Williams is out of range and Silvain settles back down.
Williams checks the leg kick nicely there.
Williams thuds his shin into the meat of Silvain's side.
Silvain chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Silvain throws a combination that misses

and Williams counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Silvain's guard now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Williams tries to free his leg and advance position but Silvain is retaining full guard.
Williams loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Williams has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Williams with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.


It looks like Tiago Silvain has been cut.
Williams wants to control from the top but Silvain keeps moving.
Williams postures up in Silvain's guard and throws a big left but Silvain blocks it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Williams throwing strikes but missing.
Silvain seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Williams stands up over Silvain, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Silvain looking to control but Williams passes into half guard.
Williams prevents Silvain from improving his position.
Silvain wants to get back to his feet.
Nice strikes from Williams there.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Williams working over Silvain with some ground and pound. Silvain looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.


That has opened up Tiago Silvain's cut even more.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Silvain is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Williams thows a huge punch but Silvain dodges it nicely.
Williams thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Silvain's head.
Williams throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Silvain is staying active underneath Williams, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Williams looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Silvain with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.


Tiago Silvain's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Tiago Silvain's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Eli Williams!
Eli Williams spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
