The crowd seem to be enjoying Liddell's choice of entrance music: Slayer - Raining Blood. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 23 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tatsuyo Hayate!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 25 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Block Liddell!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, William Peck and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hayate shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Liddell scores with a crisp jab that stopped Hayate in his tracks.
Hayate connects with a nice looking jab.


It looks like Block Liddell has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Liddell throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Hayate misses with a wild body shot.
The fighters circling - Hayate throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Liddell throws a one two combo.
Liddell throws a push kick but Hayate slaps the foot to one side.
Nice body kick from Liddell.
Liddell lands a nice hook to Hayate's body. Hayate takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
A looping hook to the body misses from Hayate. Liddell does a little dance to reset his feet.
Hayate fails to land the takedown.
Liddell looks to land a body kick but Hayate moved away.

Liddell lands a big head kick that sends Hayate tumbling to the mat! Liddell takes a step backwards and waves Hayate back to his feet - he wants the finish!


Hayate is rocked!
Liddell fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Oh Hayate is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Hayate is breathing heavily.
Liddell throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Liddell connects with a body shot.
Liddell connects with a body shot that sends Hayate's belly button to the back.
Hayate seems to have got his legs back now.
Hayate takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

That's one minute gone in the round.
The fighters circle, before Liddell throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Hayate's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Liddell lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:08 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Kick & Punches). Block Liddell!
