Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fred Flintstone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jaanis Zadrots (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jaanis Zadrots looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Fedor Mirinova and Viktor Lagutenko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zadrots tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Flintstone manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Zadrots looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Flintstone is defended easily by Zadrots.
Flintstone defending well as Zadrots loads up on a big left hand.
Zadrots rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Flintstone counters with a right hand to the body.
Zadrots misses with a few strikes there.

Flintstone breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Flintstone throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Zadrots's waist but Zadrots gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Flintstone off to one side.
Flintstone lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Zadrots circles away quickly and effectively.
Flintstone really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The fight stays on the outside here - Zadrots looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Flintstone manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

Zadrots is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Flintstone pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Flintstone turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Flintstone manages to end up in side control.

Zadrots is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Flintstone asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Flintstone works to advance to full mount. Zadrots defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Flintstone tries to control but Zadrots wriggling away.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Zadrots is trying to escape the mount.
Zadrots really wants to buck Flintstone off and get back to his feet.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Flintstone is working for a guillotine from mount but Zadrots frees his head quite easily.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Flintstone has hold of Zadrots's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Zadrots manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Zadrots shoots in for a takedown but Flintstone shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Flintstone takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Flintstone jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Zadrots walks away with a smile on his face. Flintstone gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Flintstone fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Flintstone feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Zadrots is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Let's hope that Zadrots has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Well Flintstone has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
