Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 16 - 0, fighting out of London, Mark Dexter!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, James Ackerman and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dexter fails to land the takedown.
Burton throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Burton jabs Dexter right on the nose. Dexter blinks but takes it well.
Burton tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Dexter is defended easily by Burton.

Dexter shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Burton wants to sweep here but Dexter controlling him for the moment.

Dexter drops back, looking for a kneebar! Burton looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Burton looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Burton!

Dexter is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Burton pulls his head out easily.

Dexter is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Burton is just riding it out for now. Dexter eventually gives up the hold.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Sloppy strikes from Dexter. Those never looked like landing.
Dexter uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Burton.
Dexter misses with a few strikes there.
Mark Dexter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dexter looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Burton is fending him off so far but Dexter persists. Nope, Burton circles away and we're back to standing.
Burton is looking to chop away at Dexter's legs.
Dexter throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Burton misses with a double jab.
Dexter gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Burton counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Dexter working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Burton doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Burton manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Dexter throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Burton escapes and throws Dexter's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Dexter is trying to control Burton's posture but Burton avoids it.
Dexter is looking to regain half guard here but Burton keeps moving and retains side control.
Dexter sneaks back into half guard.

Burton thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Dexter's head.
Dexter gets back to full guard.
Dexter is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Dexter has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Burton doesn't defend quickly enough and Dexter has managed to lock this one up! Can Burton escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Dexter on a fantastic submission victory.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Mark Dexter!
A relieved looking Mark Dexter thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
