PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Master Splinter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hans Schwarz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hans Schwarz told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Master Splinter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hans Schwarz!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Yukihiro Shimada and Yuuki Gou.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schwarz slips a jab from Splinter.
Splinter attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Splinter walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Schwarz checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Splinter pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Schwarz chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Splinter can pounce on him.
Schwarz sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Splinter wants to land a leg kick but Schwarz is out of range.
Splinter digs a good hook to Schwarz's body.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Splinter connects with a solid leg kick.
Schwarz looks gassed!
Splinter feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Schwarz's calf.
Splinter chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Splinter thows a body kick. Schwarz tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Schwarz tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Splinter lands a leg kick that knocks Schwarz off balance momentarily.
Splinter ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Schwarz has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Splinter.
Splinter wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Schwarz takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Schwarz on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Schwarz walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

It looks like Hans Schwarz has been cut.
Splinter lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Splinter scores with a kick to the body.
Splinter darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Schwarz's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Splinter lands a leg kick that knocks Schwarz off balance momentarily.
Splinter connects with a stiff jab that staggers Schwarz - oh and he follows up with a huge uppercut that knocks him out cold! Man, that was brutal!
