The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Micheangelo Fripello and Roger Salmon.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kovacs tries to sprawl but Dimagiba drives through with a takedown into half guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Kovacs has his hands clasped together around Dimagiba's back. He's all about the action.
Kovacs is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Dimagiba's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Dimagiba's back!
Dimagiba manages to get to his feet, escaping the difficult position.
Dimagiba feints and as Kovacs raises his hands in defense, Dimagiba changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Kovacs working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Dimagiba doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Kovacs is tightening it up a little... Dimagiba has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Dimagiba reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Dimagiba taps out! Nice BJJ there by Kovacs!
