Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jussi Murikka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chester Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson scores with a three punch combo!

Murikka shoots in for a double leg but Jackson sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

and Jackson counters with a three punch combo that has Murikka backing up. Murikka nods at Jackson to acknowledge the strikes.

Murikka looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.

enabling Jackson to counter with a crisp jab.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Murikka. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Jackson's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Jackson duly obliges.
Murikka feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Murikka slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Murikka wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Jackson, who protects the arm well.

Murikka is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Jackson knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

That's time! Murikka's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Murikka closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Murikka lands in his opponent's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
