Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Oswaldo Barra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Khun Vee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Oswaldo Barra! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Khun Vee! The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Thiago Cunha and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vee closes the distance and lands a one-two. Khun Vee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Vee avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Vee has closed the distance and engaged Barra in a clinch.
Vee gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Vee scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Vee trying to control the position from guard on top but Barra is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Vee must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Barra has his foot on Vee's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Vee works his way back into a safe position though. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Vee is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Vee really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Barra. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Vee postures up in Barra's guard and throws a big left but Barra blocks it. Vee trying to control but Barra is working from the bottom. Barra looking for a guillotine here but Vee defends easily.
Barra working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Vee doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Vee manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Barra has momentary wrist control but Vee slips an elbow through the middle.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vee postures up in Barra's guard and throws a big left but Barra blocks it. Vee engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Vee wants to get up but he can't break Barra's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Vee makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Vee tries to stand but Barra is controlling from the bottom. Barra is trying to keep Vee in close.
Vee trying to control the position from guard on top but Barra is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Vee throws a big right hand that misses. Vee trying to control but Barra is working from the bottom. Barra can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Vee controls the pace. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Khun Vee wasn't active enough on the ground. Vee scores with a nice head shot. Barra wants to clinch up but Vee keeps it at a distance. Vee rushes Barra and presses him up against the cage. Barra misses with some punches.
Vee works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Barra looking to hit a scissor sweep but Vee is one step ahead there. Vee has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Barra to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Vee is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Barra pulls down on the head and he's put Vee to sleep! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Oswaldo Barra! Oswaldo Barra tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
