The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thompson lands with a right hand.
Thompson moves into range and clinches up with Knight.
Thompson can't get the takedown.
Knight lands a damaging elbow.
It looks like Jet Thompson has been cut.

Thompson bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Knight's head.

Jet Thompson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Thompson throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Knight stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Knight shoots in looking for a takedown but Thompson manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Knight's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Knight tries to close the distance and clinch but Thompson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Thompson fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Knight manages to avoid it.
Knight misses with a body kick.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Thompson crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Knight - the referee stops the clock and Thompson gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Knight. Thompson manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Knight throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Thompson on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Knight. Knight obviously looking to wear him down.
Thompson looks to land a right hand but Knight moved out of range.
Both fighters circling a little - Knight finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.

Thompson throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Knight sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Knight looks to land a combination but Thompson avoids it well.

Knight lets loose with a powerful body kick. Thompson will feel that in the morning.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Thompson throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Jet Thompson's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Jet Thompson's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
