Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Urijah Samuel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luis Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Samuel comes into the arena with Knock Yourself Out blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Urijah Samuel! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Luis Silva! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Yves DeLean and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Silva keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Horrible takedown by Samuel or perhaps it was just good defense by Silva which made him look bad. Samuel has a takedown stuffed. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Urijah Samuel. That's going to take a lot out of him. Samuel shoots for a takedown but Silva saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Silva is looking to clinch. Samuel shoots in looking for a takedown but Silva manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Samuel's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Silva fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Samuel avoids it really well and circles away. Samuel shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Silva sprawls well. Silva wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Samuel gets slowly back to his feet. Silva tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silva pushes Samuel up against the cage in a clinch. Silva pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Samuel misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Silva moves into range and clinches up with Samuel. Samuel misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Samuel tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Silva's elbow. Samuel trying to control the position but instead, Silva has worked for underhooks and has pushed Samuel into the cage. Silva breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Horrible takedown by Samuel or perhaps it was just good defense by Silva which made him look bad. Silva leaves Samuel with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Samuel closes the distance and clinches up with Silva, looking for a takedown. Samuel pushes Silva against the cage but Silva circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Silva dives in and grabs Samuel's left leg, looking for a takedown. Samuel pushes down on Silva's head and hops out. Silva plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
It looks like Urijah Samuel has been cut. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Samuel leaves Silva with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Samuel scores with a takedown into Silva's guard. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Silva is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Samuel thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Samuel drops back looking for a leg! Silva is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Silva manages to kick Samuel off! Samuel jumps back into Silva's guard. Samuel drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Silva dives on top into guard. Samuel wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Samuel uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Silva closes the distance and clinches up with Samuel, looking for a takedown. Silva pushes Samuel against the cage but Samuel circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Silva tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Samuel swivels and escapes. Silva shoots in and drives through. Samuel sprawls well. No luck for Samuel with that takedown attempt. No luck with that takedown attempt from Samuel. Samuel defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Silva. A combination from Silva does no damage. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Samuel stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Samuel wants it to stay on the feet. Silva looks gassed! Samuel shoots in but Silva avoids the takedown attempt easily. Samuel darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Silva shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Samuel but Samuel pushes him off and we're back to square one. Urijah Samuel has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Luis Silva. Samuel fails with the takedown. Samuel throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Silva was covering up waiting for the punch and Samuel finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Samuel drops back looking for a leg! Silva is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Silva manages to kick Samuel off! Samuel jumps back into Silva's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Samuel slips nicely into half guard. Samuel is trying to work for a kimura but Silva is defending well.
Silva is looking for a sweep. Samuel is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Silva is in trouble now - Samuel has advanced to mount!

Samuel is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Silva is surviving well by controlling Samuel's body position as best he can. Samuel wants to finish this one by submission but Silva is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Samuel. Samuel is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Samuel is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Silva looks like he's trying to stand up.

Samuel is working for takedown but Silva is calmly controlling the position for now. Knees in the clinch landing for Silva.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Silva keeps control of Samuel as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Samuel is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Silva changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Samuel fights it off and pushes away nicely.
