Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aleksander Ivanov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hubert Rehel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Hubert Rehel enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Aleksander Ivanov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Hubert Rehel!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Dillan Fox and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ivanov shoots in for a takedown but Rehel shows good takedown defense.

Rehel changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Ivanov looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Ivanov prevents Rehel from moving into mount.
Rehel trying to control the action but Ivanov is working from the bottom.

Ivanov is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Rehel off and has taken his back!
Ivanov is trying to stick to Rehel's back but Rehel is turning into Ivanov. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Ivanov's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Rehel.

Ivanov is looking for a triangle but Rehel pushes his legs off easily.

Rehel wants to pass the guard but Ivanov is keeping the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Rehel frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Rehel wants to finish this one by submission but Ivanov is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Rehel.

Rehel is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Ivanov is surviving well by controlling Rehel's body position as best he can.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Rehel looking to break Ivanov's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Ivanov remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Rehel will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

Rehel is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Ivanov has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
Ivanov is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.

Rehel fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Ivanov sprawls well initially but Rehel persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Ivanov is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rehel wants to control from the top but Ivanov keeps moving.

Hubert Rehel showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Ivanov misses with a takedown

and Rehel counters with a single leg into guard. Ivanov didn't expect that.
Rehel controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Ivanov will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Rehel must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Well Rehel has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
