The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bertolone misses with a takedown
and Hernandez counters with a nice kick to the body.
A slapping leg kick lands for Hernandez.
Hernandez throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Hernandez pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Hernandez looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Bertolone avoids the head kick by Hernandez.
Hernandez bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Bertolone misses with a takedown
and Hernandez counters with a head kick that drops Bertolone to the mat! Bertolone scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!
Bertolone is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hernandez misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

and Hernandez counters with a straight right hand.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Edoardo Bertolone. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Hernandez drops Bertolone with a beautiful combination! Bertolone stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Hernandez is looking for the KO!
Oh Bertolone is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Manlio Hernandez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
