The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Faber.
Gracie shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Faber counters with a good low kick that Gracie was not able to check.
Gracie slips a jab and a cross from Faber.
Nice body punch from Faber.
Gracie misses with a takedown
and Faber cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Faber misses with a low kick.
Gracie moves out of range of the body kick.
Gracie misses with a takedown attempt
and Faber counters with a series of strikes. Gracie will be more careful next time no doubt.

Rermes Gracie seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Gracie shoots for a takedown but Faber saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Gracie looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Faber misses with a wild combination.
Gracie shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Faber manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Faber trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
Faber is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Gracie dives into side control.
Faber can't do much from the bottom here.
Gracie tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Gracie has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Faber is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Gracie's leg. Oh but that's left an opportunity for Gracie! He's got an arm triangle... it looks tight! He's rotating and Faber has tapped! This one is allllll over!
