Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ken Banners (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jayden Ray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Banners might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Rage Against The Machine - Bombtrack. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ken Banners!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jayden Ray!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Bruno Hogan and Steve Erwin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ray chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Banners can pounce on him.
Ray looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Ray with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Banners to score with a decent uppercut.
Ray throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Banners ducks under a wild hook from Ray.
Ray misses with a left hand
and Banners counters with a nice leg kick.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
No joy there for Ray, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Banners misses with a hook. Ray ducked under it nicely.
Ray throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Banners misses with a wild body shot.
Ray dodges the punch combination from Banners.
Banners misses the shot to the body.
Banners fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ray manages to avoid it.
Banners uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Ray.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Banners finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
A telegraphed right hand from Ray misses the target.
Banners walks into a straight right hand from Ray.
Banners will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
A slow jab from Banners misses its intended target.
Jayden Ray seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ray throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Ray drops Banners with a right and a left! Ray comes rushing in but Banners regains his composure and manages to keep Ray in guard.


Banners is rocked!


It looks like Ken Banners has been cut.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Ray controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Oh Banners is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Ray gets to his feet. Banners looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Banners slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Ray lands a nice shot to the body.
Banners seems to have got his legs back now.
Ray missing with a left hand there. Banners was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Banners throws a series of punches but Ray moves out of range.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Ray tries a head kick but it misses.
Ray just misses with a punch to the body.
Ray has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Banners.
Ray throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Banners looks to throw the jab but Ray is out of range.
Ray swings for the body but Banners moves out of range.
A punch combination from Ray misses.
Ray swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Ray keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Banners staying out of range there.
Ray walks into a jab.


It looks like Jayden Ray has been cut.
Both fighters circling a little - Banners finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Banners looks to land a right hand but Ray moved out of range.
Banners just misses with a punch to the body.
Sloppy strikes from Banners. Those never looked like landing.
A combination from Ray does no damage.
Ray throws a series of punches but Banners avoids them all with ease.
Ray connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Banners ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Ray moves away.

Oh, that's a big right hand from Ray and Banners goes tumbling to the canvas! Ray follows him to the ground and looks to finish from half guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Banners wants to improve his position but Ray is controlling well.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Banners tries to roll over but Ray keeps him under control.
Ray perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Jayden Ray.
Banners fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ray manages to avoid it.
Banners pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Ray will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Ray throws an off balance right hand
and Banners counters with a good low kick that Ray was not able to check.
Ray looks to score with a jab to the body but Banners is just out of range.

Ray throws a head kick that lands with a deafening thwack! The crowd roars as Banners stumbles backwards and falls to the mat. Ray follows into mount!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jayden Ray dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
That's time! Back to the action!


Banners misses with a low kick.
Ray throws an overhand right that has Banners reeling! Ray follows up with more punches and Banners is out cold! This one is all over!
