Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Juan Carlos Ortiz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Wrestling Bot!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Donatello Bradman and Hugh Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ortiz cracks Bot with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Ortiz gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Bot sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Ortiz's guard.
Ortiz tries to get to full guard but Bot has control of the leg.

Bot is working for a kimura but Ortiz is defending it quite comfortably.
Ortiz might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Ortiz taking some punishment here, with Bot in his half guard.
Ortiz is looking for a sweep. Bot is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Bot lands a nice short elbow.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Bot looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Bot seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Ortiz does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ortiz wants to improve his position but Bot is controlling well.
Bot lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Bot takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Bot not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bot thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Ortiz is looking to improve his position.
Bot winds up and cracks Ortiz with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Bot in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Ortiz tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Bot!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Wrestling Bot!
A relieved looking Wrestling Bot thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
