The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hua closes the distance but Brasi moves to the side

and Brasi counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Brasi.
Hua tries to break free but Brasi pushes him back against the cage.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Hua just misses with a elbow thrown towards Brasi's brow.
Hua looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Hua is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Hua wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Brasi has him pressed against the cage.

Brasi has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Hua uses from the top position.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Hua wanted to stand there but Brasi had control of the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hua wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Brasi's closed guard. He's half up but Brasi has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Brasi pivots and extends the arm, Hua falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Brasi! Well done that man!
