Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dwayne Waters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mick Penn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Waters comes to the cage accompanied by 50 Cent - Ready for War. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

9 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mick Penn! The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Wagner Zegers and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Waters tries to sprawl but Penn drives through with a takedown into half guard. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Penn is looking to take a break and control but Waters is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Waters is looking for a sweep. Penn is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Penn is just content to waste time from the top position. Waters takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Penn wants to pass the guard but Waters is keeping the position. Waters working a defensive guard but Penn manages to pass into side control anyway.
Penn is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Waters has escaped the position, nice work there. Penn wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Waters, who protects the arm well. Waters regains half guard, as Penn was trying to land strikes.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Mick Penn wasn't active enough on the ground. Waters walks into a stiff left hand from Penn. Waters takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. The crowd cheers as Penn lands an impressive looking overhand right. Waters doesn't seem phased though. Penn tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Penn will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Dwayne Waters seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Waters shoots in and bounces Penn off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Penn trying to keep a closed guard but Waters is proving a slippery customer.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Waters content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Waters decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Penn, up you get! Waters throws a jab but it's blocked by Penn. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Waters stuffs the takedown. Donk. Waters catches Penn right on the button with a cross. Penn dives in and scores a takedown into Waters's guard. Penn stopping the sweep attempt from Waters. That's one minute gone in the round. Waters has momentary wrist control but Penn slips an elbow through the middle. Penn postures up in Waters's guard and throws a big left but Waters blocks it. Penn trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Waters manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! Mick Penn has got the better of the ground game so far. Penn utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Penn throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Penn has control of Waters's left arm, preventing Waters from doing any damage. Waters trying to control but Penn is working from the bottom. Penn has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Waters off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Waters moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Waters is working to avoid the ground and pound but Penn connects with a decent elbow. Penn wants to control but Waters is keeping him busy. Waters manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Ground and pound from Penn. Penn tries to pass the half guard into mount. Waters knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Penn not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

Waters is trying to control Penn's posture but Penn avoids it. Waters gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Penn passes to side control. Waters is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Penn off and has taken his back! Penn trying to control the hands but Waters breaks the grip. Penn is holding onto Waters's left hand, preventing any choke attempts.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Waters is trying to control. Penn trying to move into half guard but instead Waters has managed to sweep! Penn trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Waters throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Penn works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Penn has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Waters can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Waters postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Penn lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Waters! Penn throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
