Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Henry Hagan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nathaniel Price (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Price has chosen Thunderstruck as his entrance music. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Henry Hagan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Nathaniel Price!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Skip Squint and Donatello Bradman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hagan lands with a kick to the temple. Price shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"


It looks like Nathaniel Price has been cut.
Hagan throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Price closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Hagan to the mat! Hagan manages to get full guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Price stands up and waves to Hagan to follow him.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Hagan enables Price to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Hagan manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Price not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Price preventing the sweep.

Hagan working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Price doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Price manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Price stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hagan swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Hagan wants to get back to his feet but Price is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Price controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Price tries to free his leg and advance position but Hagan is retaining full guard.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Nathaniel Price hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Price fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

Hagan with a lazy takedown attempt

so Price counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Price trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Price advances position into side control!
Price taking a breather here.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Price swings around for an armbar but Hagan sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Price's guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Henry Hagan wasn't doing enough on the ground.

and Price counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Hagan!

Price jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Hagan is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Hagan and Price has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Hagan is trying to get back to half guard.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Hagan is trying hard to land a takedown here. Price sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Hagan shoots in for a double leg but Price sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Hagan lands a nice looking body kick.
Hagan gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Price counters with a good low kick that Hagan was not able to check.

Hagan dives in and grabs Price's left leg, looking for a takedown. Price pushes down on Hagan's head and hops out.

Price decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Price decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Hagan tries a head kick but it misses.
Price misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Henry Hagan is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Hagan tries to clinch up but Price circles away and keeps his distance.
Price works over Hagan's head and body with a nice combination.

Price shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Hagan is trying to defend but Price finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Price looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Hagan with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Price controlling the action here.

Price wants to control but Hagan is keeping him busy.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Nathaniel Price was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Price tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Hagan swivels and escapes.

Price wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hagan keeps working.

Price thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Hagan is trying to control Price's posture but Price avoids it.

Hagan throws a couple of strikes even though he's not really in a good position to do so.
Price is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

Price swings around for an armbar but Hagan sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Price's guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Hagan throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Nathaniel Price showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Hagan has his takedown stuffed

and Price counters with a shoot takedown. Hagan fights it but they end up in guard.

Price stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Hagan shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Hagan misses with a few strikes there.
Hagan lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Price dives in and scores a takedown into Hagan's guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Price stands up from Hagan's guard - Price perhaps looking for a knockout.
Nice takedown defense from Price. No joy for Hagan on that attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Henry Hagan. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Price closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Hagan to the mat! Hagan manages to get full guard.

Price content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Price decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Price jumps guard but Hagan stands there with Price around his waist. Price gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Hagan tries to circle away but Price has him pinned against the cage.

Hagan wants to take the fight to the mat but Price manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Hagan jumps into guard, dragging Price to the mat.

Price stands and steps away. Hagan gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Hagan fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Price looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
A solid leg kick lands there for Price.

Hagan tries to keep at a distance but Price has taken the fight into the clinch.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Price manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Price will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Price has a closed guard, preventing Hagan from standing up.
Hagan is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Hagan trying to stand up but can't free himself from Price's guard.
Price pulls Hagan in to control the position.
Price scores with a short punch from the bottom.
Price tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Price trying to keep a closed guard but Hagan is proving a slippery customer.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Horrible takedown by Price or perhaps it was just good defense by Hagan which made him look bad.

Hagan closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Hagan decides to stand up, so the ref orders Price to his feet.

Price has taken the fight to the clinch.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Price trying to mount his opponent but Hagan defends it.
Price wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hagan keeps working.
Henry Hagan has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Nathaniel Price is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
