Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Nik Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ash Davenport (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gracie kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Diamond Eyes. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ash Davenport! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Ian Loll and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Davenport closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Davenport lands in his opponent's guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Davenport wants to control from the top but Gracie keeps moving. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Gracie working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Davenport doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Davenport manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Davenport is looking to work some ground and pound but Gracie has wrist control. Gracie had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Davenport defends it easily. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Gracie looking for a guillotine here but Davenport defends easily.
Gracie has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Davenport doesn't defend quickly enough and Gracie has managed to lock this one up! Can Davenport escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Gracie on a fantastic submission victory.
