Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Eddie Ever (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rick Kane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kane has chosen entersandman as his entrance music. The key to victory for Eddie Ever has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Eddie Ever! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rick Kane! The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kane looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Ever! Kane swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Ever is now in Kane's guard. A big mistake from Kane there, giving up the dominant position! Ever trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Kane is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Kane working for a triangle but Ever defends it easily.
Kane working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Ever doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Ever manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Kane looks gassed! Kane working for a triangle but Ever defends it easily.
Ever controls from within his opponent's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ever wants to control from the top but Kane keeps moving. Ever throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Kane works some decent striking defense from the bottom. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Kane is on top in guard.
Ever will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Kane drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kane jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Ever is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Kane drops back looking for a leg! Ever is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Ever manages to kick Kane off! Kane jumps back into Ever's guard. Kane is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Kane passes into half guard. Kane is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Ever is just riding it out for now. Kane eventually gives up the hold. Ever is defending against the submission attempts here by Kane.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kane passes to full mount! Kane goes for an armbar but Ever turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Ever. Kane has an active guard here but Ever has managed to pass into half guard.
Kane works his way to full guard. Good work. Kane working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. That's four minutes gone in the round. Ever scoring with some ground and pound. Kane wants to hit a switch here but Ever passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Kane there! Ever fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Ever misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Ever trying to control but he's not successful this time. Kane tries to hold on but Ever postures up. Ever with shots to the head and body - Kane looks very uncomfortable down there. Ever punishing his opponent with strikes. Ever wants to stand but Kane is holding on to him, trying to stop him posturing up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rick Kane dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Kane takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Ever rushes Kane and presses him up against the cage. Ever wants to break free but Kane has control.
Kane looking for a takedown. Kane jumps guard and drags Ever to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Ever working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Ever has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Ever chips away with some ground and pound. Ever wants to control from the top but Kane keeps moving. Ever tries to free his leg and advance position but Kane is retaining full guard. Kane is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Ever is refusing to be controlled, as Kane sits in half guard. Kane is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Ever is just riding it out for now. Kane eventually gives up the hold. Kane is looking to advance position but Ever won't allow it. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kane is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Ever! Kane working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Kane looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Rick Kane has got the better of the ground game so far. Ever wants to control but Kane is having none of it. Kane working the ground and pound effectively.
Kane has hold of Ever's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Ever manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ever is squirming around, avoiding Kane's attempts to control the action. Ever tries to lock up and control but Kane gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Ever is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Kane locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Ever is forced to tap!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:41 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Rick Kane!
