Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sun Quan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and JJ Lucas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Quan kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is MC Hammer- U Can't Touch This. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Sun Quan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, JJ Lucas! The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Steven Brown and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! An inside leg kick lands from Quan. Quan swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Quan throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Lucas gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Quan misses with a knee to the head. Quan jumps guard.
Quan pushes Lucas off and gets back to his feet.

Lucas scores with a one two! Quan had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Quan throws a right hand that Lucas ducks under and follows up with a left that Lucas also avoids with ease. Quan misses the jab. Quan scores with a kick to the midsection. A slapping body kick lands there for Quan. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Quan scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Lucas shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Quan defends it nicely. Sun Quan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Lucas walks into a stiff left hand from Quan.
That's one minute gone in the round. Quan checks a leg kick. Lucas stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Lucas wants it to stay on the feet. Quan swinging wildly here.
Quan lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Sloppy strikes from Quan. Those never looked like landing. Quan misses with a kick to the body.
Quan throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Quan misses with a series of wild punches.
A combination from Quan does no damage. Quan throws a right and a left that Lucas avoids nicely. Lucas looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Quan is fending him off so far but Lucas persists. Nope, Quan circles away and we're back to standing. Lucas looks gassed! Quan connects with a solid leg kick. Quan tries for a takedown but Lucas sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Quan throws a jab but it's blocked by Lucas. Quan closes the distance and clinches up with Lucas, looking for a takedown. Quan pushes Lucas against the cage but Lucas circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sun Quan. That's going to take a lot out of him. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Lucas lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Quan has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Quan and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Quan fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Quan misses with a body kick. Quan throws a head kick but Lucas moves out of range.
A nice leg kick lands there from Quan. Quan throws an overhand right that lands on Lucas's shoulder, as Lucas tries to avoid the shot. Quan fails to land with a series of punches.
Quan rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Lucas moves out of range and avoids them all easily. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Lucas is looking to clinch. Lucas moves into range and clinches up with Quan. Quan with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. Quan creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Lucas's defenses. Quan tries to score a body lock takedown but Lucas shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Lucas leaning against his opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Quan comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. Quan throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Lucas tries to pull guard but Quan won't allow it.

Quan pulls guard effortlessly. Lucas wants to control from the top but Quan keeps moving. Quan is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Lucas defends well. Lucas got a little sloppy there for a moment and Quan has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Lucas has managed to get both his arms back between Quan's legs - danger averted.
That's four minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Lucas trying to control but Quan is working from the bottom. Quan is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Lucas really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Quan. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Quan working a defensive guard here.
Quan has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Lucas doesn't defend quickly enough and Quan has managed to lock this one up! Can Lucas escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Quan on a fantastic submission victory.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Sun Quan! Our winner, Sun Quan, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
