Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Leo McGarry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aiden Rivers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rivers has chosen hed(pe)- Bartender as his entrance music. Aiden Rivers is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Leo McGarry! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
16 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Aiden Rivers! The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Paul Gruel and Colin Fray.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McGarry shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Rivers defends it nicely. McGarry missing with a left hand there. Rivers was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. McGarry fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Rivers sprawls well initially but McGarry persists and gets the takedown into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Rivers looking for submissions from an awkward position here. McGarry throwing shots but Rivers is blocking nicely. McGarry seems to be working for a kimura but Rivers defends the submission attempt. Rivers tries to roll over but McGarry keeps him under control. Rivers gets full guard. McGarry passes Rivers's left leg - he's now in half guard. Rivers keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

McGarry content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Rivers escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. McGarry gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. McGarry preventing the sweep. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Rivers is on top in guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. McGarry had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Rivers defends it easily. McGarry working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Rivers doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Rivers manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Rivers sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed McGarry's guard. Rivers is controlling the pace.

Rivers wants to pass the guard but McGarry is keeping the position. McGarry is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Rivers defends well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

McGarry throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Rivers was covering up waiting for the punch and McGarry finishes the takedown easily into guard. Rivers is trying to control the position from the bottom.
McGarry throws a strike but Rivers rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. McGarry keeping moving, preventing Rivers from controlling successfully. McGarry isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Rivers stacks McGarry on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Rivers! Rivers throws a strike aimed at the side of McGarry's head but McGarry avoids it well. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! McGarry gets back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rivers wants to lay and pray for a moment but McGarry keeps working. McGarry is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Rivers pulls his head out easily. Rivers seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. McGarry is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Rivers pulls his head out easily. Leo McGarry overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Rivers is nestled in close to McGarry, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Ground and pound from Rivers. McGarry wants to get back to full guard. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Rivers connects with a nice short shot to McGarry's temple. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Rivers moves nicely into side control. Rivers tries for a kimura but McGarry is defending well. McGarry is trying to improve his position. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Aiden Rivers showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Rivers ducks down and throws a hook to the body but McGarry moves away. McGarry dives in and scores a takedown into Rivers's guard. Rivers wants to sweep here but McGarry controlling him for the moment. Rivers is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but McGarry frees his head nicely. Oh but Rivers has switched to an armbar! McGarry is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
