Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Maxence Laurentian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Christopher Lytle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lytle has chosen Light's Out as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
21 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Maxence Laurentian! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
17 - 15 - 0, fighting out of New York, Christopher Lytle! The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Jonathan Paton and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lytle shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Laurentian's guard. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Laurentian is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Laurentian keeping full guard, as Lytle tries to pass. Laurentian keeping moving, preventing Lytle from controlling successfully. Laurentian not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Lytle trying to control the position from guard on top but Laurentian is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Lytle passes into half guard. Lytle is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Lytle drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Laurentian manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Lytle has Laurentian in his guard. Lytle is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Laurentian is aware though and is defending well. Lytle looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Laurentian passes into side control.
Laurentian wants to control but Lytle is keeping him busy. Lytle is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Laurentian off and has taken his back! Lytle has the hooks in. Laurentian is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted. Lytle lands shots from the back. Lytle working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Laurentian breaks Lytle's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Lytle wants to hit a switch here but Laurentian passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Lytle there! Laurentian can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Lytle is looking to escape. Laurentian moves to the back. You can see the frustration on Lytle's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Laurentian is trying to stick to Lytle's back but Lytle is turning into Laurentian. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Laurentian's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Lytle. Laurentian is pulling down on Lytle's head. It's preventing any offense from Lytle, at least for the moment. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Laurentian is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Lytle seems to be working for a kimura but Laurentian defends the submission attempt. Lytle is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! Lytle is looking for a kimura but Laurentian is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Lytle to get the leverage. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Lytle is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Laurentian has managed to free his arm - good work. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lytle seems to be working for a kimura but Laurentian defends the submission attempt. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Christopher Lytle dominated that round. That's time! Laurentian's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Lytle has a takedown stuffed. Laurentian throws a hook to the side of Lytle's head but Lytle sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Nice uppercut lands for Laurentian. That snapped Lytle's head back.
Lytle tries to clinch but Laurentian moves out of range. Laurentian jabbing away but nothing is landing. Lytle misses with a takedown letting Laurentian counter with a right hand. Laurentian punishes Lytle's body with a nice straight punch. Laurentian tries to close the distance and clinch up but Lytle swats him away and circles back towards the center.
That's one minute gone in the round. Laurentian with a nice cross. Nice shot by Laurentian. Laurentian slips under a jab from Lytle. A telegraphed right hand from Laurentian misses the target. Lytle gets a takedown into half guard. Lytle is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Laurentian defends it well. Laurentian tries to get to full guard but Lytle has control of the leg.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Laurentian is holding on to half guard well. Lytle not landing any meaningful shots this time. Laurentian won't allow Lytle to pass to mount. Lytle missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Lytle is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Laurentian sees it coming and defends easily.
