Palmer's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Not Now James,we're busy. Robert Oak is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Palmer shoots in for a takedown but Oak shows good takedown defense.

Palmer dives in and scores a takedown into Oak's guard.

Palmer escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Oak gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Palmer bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Oak's guard.
Oak can't keep his opponent in guard - Palmer advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Oak is trying to control but can't.
Oak tries to kick Palmer off but Palmer keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Oak is trying to get back to full guard.
Oak looks gassed!
Oak looks like he's trying to stand up.

Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Oak is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Palmer scores with a couple of nice shots.
Palmer is keen to just control but Oak is a slippery customer.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Palmer is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Oak has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Oak is desperately trying to improve his position but Palmer has a good base and remains in mount.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Palmer throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Oak has his hands clasped together but Palmer breaks the hold and Oak is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Palmer!
