Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between R J MacReady (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Liam Minard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Minard is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Walk. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
20 - 17 - 0, fighting out of New York, R J MacReady! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
19 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Liam Minard! The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Chad Campbell and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! MacReady misses the shot to the body. Minard misses with a low kick.
MacReady slips under a jab. Minard moves away from the strike by MacReady. A nice combination there by MacReady.

MacReady thows a body shot but no joy. Minard keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Minard fails miserably with a takedown attempt. A decent looking cross lands there for MacReady. This has been an exciting period of action! Some bone on bone action there as Minard checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Minard sizes up MacReady with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Minard comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Minard connects with a body shot that sends MacReady's belly button to the back. Minard throws a hook but MacReady avoids it easily. A big right from MacReady misses. Minard misses with a wild combination.

That's one minute gone in the round. Excellent takedown into side control there by Minard. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Minard throws a strike aimed at the side of MacReady's head but MacReady avoids it well. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Minard postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
MacReady tries to improve position but can't. MacReady taking a bit of punishment here - Minard scoring with strikes. Minard working away. MacReady takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Minard tries to advance to mount but MacReady denies him. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Minard misses with an attempted head punch from side control. MacReady gets back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. MacReady manages to get to full guard.
Minard is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. MacReady preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. That's three minutes gone in the round. Minard postures up and lands a big shot to MacReady's brow. There's a bit of a scramble here and now MacReady is on top in guard.

Minard is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Minard looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
MacReady throws a big elbow that misses.
That's four minutes gone in the round. MacReady postures up.
Minard has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. MacReady wants to control from the top but Minard keeps moving. Minard is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Minard looking for a guillotine here but MacReady defends easily.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Minard had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. MacReady defends it easily. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Minard has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think MacReady should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Minard has tightened it up now! MacReady should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
