Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rick Castle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Walter Bond (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Rick Castle! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Walter Bond! The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Colin Fray and Roger Salmon.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Castle ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Bond tries to clinch up and Castle counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Bond! It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Bond can't escape the position.
Bond wants to try and get back to his feet. Castle controlling from the full mount. Castle looking to control but Bond is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
That's one minute gone in the round. Castle controlling the position easily from mount.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Rick Castle. Castle moves out of range as Bond throws a body kick.
Castle lands a right hook to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bond fails with a takedown attempt. Castle stuffs the takedown. Bond moves in looking to clinch but Castle pushes him off. Bond tries to clinch and Castle counters with a right hand to the body. Bond fails to land the takedown. Rick Castle has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Walter Bond. Castle fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Bond to the ground. Castle is now in Bond's guard. Bond had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Castle defends it easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Castle would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Bond is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Castle is stalling in the full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Rick Castle just wasn't active enough. Castle misses with a leg kick and Bond counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Bond lands an elbow just above Castle 's eye. Bond creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Castle's defenses. Knees to the body from Bond.
Castle is breathing heavily. Come on Bond - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Bond breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Bond throws a right hand that Castle ducks under and follows up with a left that Castle also avoids with ease. Bond has taken the fight to the clinch.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Bond comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. Bond prevents Castle from breaking the clinch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Rick Castle will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

A combination from Bond does no damage. Castle throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Bond was covering up waiting for the punch and Castle finishes the takedown easily into guard. Bond looking to control.
Bond is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Bond pulls Castle in close to his closed guard and prevents Castle from doing any damage or advancing position.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Walter Bond wasn't active enough on the ground. Bond clinches up with Castle and pushes him back against the cage. Bond with a knee to the head.
Castle breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Bond looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Castle avoids a punch combination nicely.
Bond wants to clinch up but Castle keeps it at a distance.
That's two minutes gone in the round. No luck with that takedown attempt from Bond. Bond tries to clinch and Castle counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Bond! Castle trying to control but he's not successful this time. Bond is trying to escape the mount.

Rick Castle has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Castle dodges the punch combination from Bond.
Bond tries to clinch but Castle moves out of range.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Bond tries to clinch there but Castle circles away.
Bond tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Castle was well out of range. Poor timing from Bond. Bond tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Castle manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Bond clinches up against the cage. Castle fails to pull guard.
Bond crunches a lovely knee into Castle's ribcage. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Bond has Castle pressed against the cage.
Bond with an attempt at a knee that misses.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Castle is trying to force a seperation but Bond has the dominant position. Bond utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Walter Bond will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Bond fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Bond drives through and clinches with Castle against the cage.
Bond gets control of Castle's arms and successfully pulls guard. Bond will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Castle has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Castle throws a strike but Bond rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Bond with a flurry of punches that miss.
That's one minute gone in the round. Castle looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Castle keeping moving, preventing Bond from controlling successfully.

Walter Bond seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Bond stuffs the takedown attempt from Castle. Castle gets slowly back to his feet. Bond tries to clinch up. Bond has Castle up against the cage in a clinch.
Bond creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Castle's defenses. Bond jumps into guard, dragging Castle to the mat.
Bond pulls Castle in close to prevent any damage. Rick Castle overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Bond is looking to stand up but Castle isn't so interested in that idea.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Bond tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Castle manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Bond scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Bond throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Bond breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. A chopping leg kick lands by Bond. Castle shoots for a takedown but Bond saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Bond moves in looking to clinch but Castle pushes him off. Rick Castle is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Bond scores with a hook. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Bond has closed the distance and engaged Castle in a clinch.
Bond working Castle over with knees to the body. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Bond lands a good knee to the midsection. Castle won't want to take too many of those. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Bond escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Bond is looking to clinch.
And that's the end of the fight! Walter Bond comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Bond has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
