The crowd seem to be enjoying Otsuka's choice of entrance music: Lithium Flower. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Batou Otsuka!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Gregory Folan and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Otsuka throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Man counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Otsuka taking some punishment here, with Man in his half guard.
Man is thwarting Otsuka's attempts to control the position.
Otsuka is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Man scores with a couple of nice shots.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Man lands a nice short elbow.
Man seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Otsuka missing with punches from the bottom.
Otsuka regains full guard. Nicely done.
Man is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Otsuka keeping moving, preventing Man from controlling successfully.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Man's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Man pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Otsuka is keeping the position for now.
Otsuka looking to control.
Man postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Man is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

Otsuka throws his legs up looking for a submission but Man uses it to pass to side control.
Otsuka is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Man off and has taken his back!

Otsuka punches Man on the ear.

Man breaks Otsuka's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Otsuka is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Otsuka looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Man throws a big right hand that misses.
Man scoring with some ground and pound.
Man trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Man trying to control but Otsuka is working from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Otsuka is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Otsuka lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Man!

Man can't escape the position.
Man is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Man is trying desperately to improve position.
Man stops Otsuka from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better.
Poor strikes thrown by Otsuka there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Otsuka tries to control but Man wriggling away.
Man is trying desperately to improve position.
Otsuka wants to control the pace but Man is squirming around nicely.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Otsuka cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Otsuka manages to capitalize on a mistake by Man to take his back!
Otsuka really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Man.
Otsuka wants to control but Man is keeping busy.
Well, with Otsuka on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Man is tapping out... Can he escape the position?
Otsuka has the hooks in. Man is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Otsuka looking for the rear naked choke. And he's got it! Man taps!
