8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Miguel Cortez! The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Edson Gomes and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! This fight brought to you by 5M nutrition - it's mmmmm tasty. Nice jab by Yashigawa. Yashigawa shoots in for a takedown and gets it. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Cortez moves into full guard.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Yashigawa works over Cortez with some ground and pound from guard. Yashigawa has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Cortez manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
