Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Michael Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kato Hong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Johnson comes to the cage accompanied by lunatic fringe. Hong is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Nunchucks. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Michael Johnson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kato Hong! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johnson darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Hong is looking to improve his position.
Johnson working Hong over with strikes. Johnson looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Hong blocking the ground and pound attempt from Johnson. Hong throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Hong is trying to get back to full guard. Johnson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hong keeps working. Hong is looking to improve his position.
Johnson works his way into side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hong manages to work his way to half guard, despite Johnson's best efforts. Johnson is controlling the pace.
Johnson wants to free his trapped foot but Hong is holding on for dear life with his legs. Hong is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Johnson seems to be looking for submissions.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ground and pound from Johnson. Hong wants to improve his position but Johnson is controlling well.
Hong avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Johnson. Johnson is working for a kimura but Hong is defending it quite comfortably.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Johnson is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Hong tries to roll over but Johnson keeps him under control. Johnson performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hong trying to hold on to Johnson's head to control him but Johnson postures up.
Johnson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hong keeps working. Johnson wants to pass to mount but Hong is defending the position. Johnson controlling the pace.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Hong throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Johnson's waist but Johnson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hong off to one side. Hong gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Hong trying to control the position here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hong avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Hong is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Johnson looking to pass the guard. Johnson postures up.
Johnson trying to control but Hong is working from the bottom. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Johnson preventing the sweep. Johnson stays in close to Hong's body and controls the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Michael Johnson dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Johnson shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Hong manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Hong trying to keep a closed guard but Johnson is proving a slippery customer.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Johnson postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hong keeping full guard, as Johnson tries to pass. Hong striking off his back but it's not causing Johnson any problems. Hong avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Johnson forces his way into half guard. Johnson seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Hong does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Hong is looking to improve his position.
Johnson is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Hong sees it coming and defends easily. Hong trying to hold on to Johnson's head to control him but Johnson postures up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hong works his way to full guard. Good work. Hong keeping moving, preventing Johnson from controlling successfully. Hong doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Johnson postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Hong can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Johnson controls the pace. Johnson wants to control from the top but Hong keeps moving. Johnson lands a couple of decent looking shots.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Johnson is working Hong over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Hong is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Johnson stands and throws Hong's legs to the side, diving into side control. Johnson looks up at the clock and then as Hong takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Johnson smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Hong is looking for a sweep. Johnson taking a break here but Hong is having none of it and regains half guard. Johnson lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hong is refusing to be controlled, as Johnson sits in half guard. Johnson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Hong trying to control here.
Johnson moves nicely into side control. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Hong is not content to let Johnson control the position. Johnson grinds an elbow into Hong's temple. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Johnson thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Johnson is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Hong has escaped the position, nice work there. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Michael Johnson dominated that second round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Hong is looking to clinch but Johnson is avoiding it.
Johnson throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Hong shoots in for a takedown but Johnson shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Johnson stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Johnson wants it to stay on the feet. Johnson shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Johnson was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Johnson takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Hong is working to get back to half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round. Johnson breaks from Hong's wrist control and lands an elbow. Hong is trying to escape the mount.
Hong is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Johnson trying to control but he's not successful this time. Johnson prevents Hong from getting the reversal. Johnson with the ground and pound from mount. Johnson trying to control but Hong is having none of it. Johnson with a couple of short strikes. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Johnson has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Hong's face.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hong keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Johnson avoids the attempt from Hong to control. Johnson raining down hammerfists from mount. Johnson trying to control but he's not successful this time. Michael Johnson overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Johnson putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Hong wants to hold on but Johnson pushes him away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Johnson controlling the pace for now. Johnson looking to finish Hong with some ground and pound. This is bad for Hong! Johnson raining down hammerfists from mount. Johnson landing strikes from the mount and Hong is in trouble!
Hong is rocked! Johnson avoids the attempt from Hong to control. Hong is still in real trouble! Can Johnson finish him? Johnson postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Hong in real trouble here! The ref calls for Hong to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:51 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Michael Johnson! A very excited looking Michael Johnson made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
