Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jordan Ward (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thiago Paxio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ward comes to the cage accompanied by I will not bow. The key to victory for Jordan Ward has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Marco Blurström and Anni Minnemäki.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Paxio tries to score a power double leg takedown but Ward sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Paxio somewhat.
Ward closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Jordan Ward.

That was a close round but I would say that Jordan Ward will probably get the nod.

Paxio swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Ward is now in Paxio's guard. A big mistake from Paxio there, giving up the dominant position!
Paxio has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Ward is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Paxio.
Ward wants to control but Paxio is keeping him busy.

Paxio is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Ward pulls his head out easily.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Paxio. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Paxio is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Ward is just riding it out for now. Paxio eventually gives up the hold.

Thiago Paxio was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
