Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Neal Stephenson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Uriel Verrus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Neal Stephenson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Uriel Verrus! The judges for this bout are William Gold, Colin Fotheringham and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Verrus throws a looping overhand right but Stephenson ducks down to avoid it. Verrus shoots in for a takedown but Stephenson shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Stephenson throws a head kick that misses. A good leg kick by Stephenson. Stephenson is looking to slow Verrus down with leg kicks. Stephenson cracks the inside of Verrus's front leg. Verrus misses with a looping left. Verrus shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Stephenson but Stephenson pushes him off and we're back to square one. Stephenson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Stephenson defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Verrus. Neal Stephenson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Uriel Verrus.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stephenson lands a nice looking body kick. Verrus closes this distance looking for a takedown but Stephenson circles away. Stephenson pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Neal Stephenson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Stephenson steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Verrus. Stephenson ducks under a wild hook from Verrus. Stephenson gets caught napping as Verrus dives in and scores a takedown. Stephenson manages to retain guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Verrus cracks Stephenson with a solid left hand. Verrus throwing strikes but missing. Verrus in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Stephenson looking to control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Verrus distracts Stephenson with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Stephenson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Verrus on the ground. Verrus missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Verrus postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Verrus throws a big elbow that misses. Stephenson avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Verrus has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Verrus scoring with punches to the head and body. Stephenson can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Verrus controls the pace. Verrus stands up over Stephenson, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Verrus stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Stephenson swivels though and keeps the full guard. Verrus scoring with punches to the head and body. Verrus stands up over Stephenson, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Verrus postures up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Verrus trying to control but Stephenson is working from the bottom. Stephenson controls Verrus momentarily but Verrus frees himself. Verrus stands up over Stephenson, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Verrus cracks Stephenson with a solid left hand. Stephenson is trying to keep Verrus in close.
Verrus preventing the sweep. Verrus throws a big right hand that misses. Verrus lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Verrus throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Verrus pushes down on Stephenson's leg and manages to get into half guard. Verrus lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Verrus throwing shots but Stephenson is blocking nicely. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Verrus seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Stephenson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Verrus throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Verrus frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. A nice elbow there by Verrus. Verrus in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Stephenson is rocked! The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Verrus drops a big elbow. That's hurt Stephenson! More shots from Verrus and the ref steps in! The fight is over!
