Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Volka Brasehrava! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Deiter Myers! The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Aleksandr Martynov and Ivan Kurochkin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brasehrava fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Myers darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Brasehrava won't allow Myers to pass to mount. Myers seems to be looking for submissions.
Myers is looking to take a break and control but Brasehrava is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Brasehrava moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Brasehrava has his foot on Myers's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Myers works his way back into a safe position though. Brasehrava manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Myers tries to improve his position but Brasehrava has taken his back! Brasehrava has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Myers tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Brasehrava pushes Myers away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
