Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Luigi Watanabe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark MacLeod (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Watanabe's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Bad Man A Step. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Luigi Watanabe! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mark MacLeod! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Alec Ball and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! MacLeod throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Watanabe's waist but Watanabe gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing MacLeod off to one side. MacLeod throws a right hand that Watanabe ducks under and follows up with a left that Watanabe also avoids with ease. Watanabe changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. MacLeod looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Watanabe wants to control but MacLeod is keeping him busy. MacLeod is trying to improve his position. Check out the look on Watanabe's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Watanabe wants to control but MacLeod is keeping him busy. Watanabe tries to advance to mount but MacLeod denies him. MacLeod is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Watanabe's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Watanabe stands up from half guard. No luck with that takedown attempt from MacLeod.
That's one minute gone in the round. Watanabe circles away from the clinch attempt.
MacLeod gets caught flat footed, as Watanabe shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. MacLeod keeping full guard, as Watanabe tries to pass. Watanabe wants to control from the top but MacLeod keeps moving. Watanabe in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Watanabe slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. MacLeod avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Watanabe works over MacLeod with some ground and pound from guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Watanabe postures up in MacLeod's guard and throws a big left but MacLeod blocks it. MacLeod wants to stand but Watanabe is controlling the position. Watanabe wants to pass the guard but MacLeod is keeping the position. Watanabe passes MacLeod's right leg, so he's now in half guard. MacLeod actively working from the bottom here. Watanabe looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks MacLeod with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Watanabe throwing shots but MacLeod is blocking nicely. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Watanabe in particular looking to stall. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Watanabe works his way into side control. Watanabe creates some space and throws a big elbow, but MacLeod sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
That's three minutes gone in the round. MacLeod wants to control but Watanabe postures up. MacLeod takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. MacLeod can't do much from the bottom here. Watanabe cracks MacLeod with a big right hand but MacLeod just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Watanabe scoring with punches and elbows. Watanabe lands a decent elbow from side control. Watanabe working the ground and pound from side control. Watanabe tries to advance to mount but can't. Watanabe misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
MacLeod is trying to improve his position. Watanabe tries to score with some ground and pound. MacLeod controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. MacLeod is working to avoid the ground and pound but Watanabe connects with a decent elbow. MacLeod is looking for a sweep.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Watanabe passes to full mount! That's big trouble for MacLeod! Watanabe is landing with some decent strikes but MacLeod is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Watanabe connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

MacLeod is rocked! Watanabe drops a big elbow. That's hurt MacLeod! More shots from Watanabe and the ref steps in! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Luigi Watanabe! A very excited looking Luigi Watanabe rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
