Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Darth Vader (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Samuel Doestevsky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vader comes to the ring accompanied by Imperial March. Doestevsky has chosen New Divide as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Darth Vader!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Samuel Doestevsky!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Ryoma Takatsuka and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vader displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Doestevsky.
Vader finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Doestevsky takes a swing at Vader's ribcage but misses.
Doestevsky closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Vader quickly recovers to half guard.
Doestevsky passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Vader!
Doestevsky swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Vader is now in Doestevsky's guard. A big mistake from Doestevsky there, giving up the dominant position!
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Vader drops back, looking for a kneebar! Doestevsky looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Doestevsky looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Doestevsky!

Doestevsky tries to move to mount but Vader blocks the move with his legs.

Doestevsky wants to control but Vader is keeping him busy.

Doestevsky shoots for a double leg takedown but Vader sprawls well. He's pushed Doestevsky's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Doestevsky feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Vader's calf.
Doestevsky uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Vader.
Vader slaps away a takedown attempt from Doestevsky, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Darth Vader has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Samuel Doestevsky.
Doestevsky scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Vader stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Vader wants it to stay on the feet.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Vader throws a push kick but Doestevsky slaps the foot to one side.
Doestevsky lands a head kick. Vader smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

Doestevsky drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Vader gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Doestevsky pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Doestevsky keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Doestevsky tries to score a power double leg takedown but Vader sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Doestevsky somewhat.
Vader throws a sloppy head kick and Doestevsky moves out of range easily.
Vader pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Doestevsky fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Vader manages to avoid it.

Doestevsky wants to clinch.
Doestevsky misses with a takedown attempt
and Vader connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Vader lands a lovely overhand right.
Doestevsky swinging wildly here.
Doestevsky misses with a few strikes there.

Doestevsky stalks Vader and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Vader's face. Vader staggers backwards, shaken.
Vader throws a sloppy head kick and Doestevsky moves out of range easily.
Doestevsky is trying hard to land a takedown here. Vader sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Vader lands a slapping body shot.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Vader avoids a punch combination nicely.
Doestevsky has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Doestevsky walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Samuel Doestevsky dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Vader tries to circle away but Doestevsky has him pinned against the ropes.

Doestevsky has Vader pressed up against the ropes and is working for takedown. Vader manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Vader is trying to control the action in half guard but Doestevsky is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Vader looks to land a strike but Doestevsky avoids it nicely and regains full guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Vader accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Vader throws a big right hand that misses.
Vader stands up over Doestevsky, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Doestevsky has his hands on Vader's head, controlling the position.
Vader won't allow Doestevsky to sweep him here.
Vader wants to pass the guard but Doestevsky is keeping the position.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Doestevsky is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
The fight stays on the outside here - Vader looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Doestevsky is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Vader looks calm but he's in trouble here. Doestevsky gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Vader is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Doestevsky lets go of the hold and Vader can pop his arm back in it's socket.
