Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Rocky Ortiz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Keith Miller!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Colin Fray and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ortiz scores with a body shot.
Ortiz plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Ortiz moves out of range of the body kick.
Miller throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Ortiz stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Miller on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Miller pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Miller throws a nice looking combination but Ortiz bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Miller swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Miller ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Ortiz moves away.
Ortiz really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Ortiz blocks the body kick.
Ortiz wants to clinch up but Miller keeps it at a distance.
Ortiz moves away from the strike by Miller.
Miller swats away the attempt to clinch by Ortiz.
Ortiz tries to clinch but Miller is having none of it.
Ortiz throws a sloppy head kick and Miller moves out of range easily.
Miller misses with a double jab.
Miller lands with a straight right. Ortiz didn't see that one coming.
Ortiz is looking to clinch but Miller is avoiding it.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Ortiz tries to clinch there but Miller circles away.
Ortiz cracks Miller with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
A solid leg kick lands there for Ortiz.
Miller throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Ortiz on the side of the head.
Ortiz doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Miller misses with a body shot.
Ortiz is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Miller.
Ortiz is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Miller throws a half hearted mid kick.
Oh Ortiz is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Ortiz rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Miller moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Miller dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Miller will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Miller ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Ortiz is breathing heavily.
Ortiz closes the distance but Miller moves to the side
and Miller counters with a beautiful right hand that knocks Ortiz out cold! What a finish! Miller is going crazy, running around the mat, summersaulting off the corner posts and screaming into the cameras. Something tells me he's pretty happy!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Keith Miller!
