PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Steven Bird (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sam Supranovich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Supranovich has chosen None Shall Pass as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bird throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Supranovich throws a nice looking combination but Bird bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Bird fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Supranovich avoids it really well and circles away.
Supranovich is looking to slow Bird down with leg kicks.
Bird looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Supranovich is fending him off so far but Bird persists. Nope, Supranovich circles away and we're back to standing.
Supranovich tests Bird's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Bird tries to land a front kick but Supranovich steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Supranovich misses with a takedown attempt - Bird sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Bird tries to bum rush Supranovich with a series of wild strikes but Supranovich uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Horrible takedown by Supranovich or perhaps it was just good defense by Bird which made him look bad.

Bird pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Bird tries a head kick but it misses.
Supranovich changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bird tries to avoid it but Supranovich manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bird to the ground. Bird escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Supranovich lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Supranovich really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bird. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
