The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Herbstreit pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Herbstreit misses with a wild body shot.
Herbstreit throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Herbstreit paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Herbstreit fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
A ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Herbstreit moves away.
A pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
A shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. A showed some decent athleticism there.
Herbstreit is in trouble now - A has advanced to mount!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

A prevents Herbstreit from getting the reversal.
A jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Herbstreit is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Herbstreit and A has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
