Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Billy Durant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Woo Petz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Billy Durant!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Woo Petz!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Colin Fray and Josh West.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Durant darts in and clinches Petz up against the cage.

Durant ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Durant no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Durant avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Durant knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Petz on the ground.
Petz trying to control but Durant is working from the bottom.
Petz trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Petz loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Durant managing to control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Durant avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Petz throwing strikes from guard but Durant blocks nicely.
Petz wants to control from the top but Durant keeps moving.

Durant preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Petz trying to control but Durant is working from the bottom.
Petz advances position into side control!
Petz in side control, throwing shots but Durant defends.
Durant is not content to let Petz control the position.

Petz is trying to get an arm triangle but Durant is defending well.

Petz thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Petz fails to land a wild elbow strike.
The strikes coming from Petz are missing the target in this wave of attacks.

Petz wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Durant, who protects the arm well.
Petz cracks Durant with a big elbow.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Petz working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.

Petz fails to land a wild elbow strike.

Petz working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Petz cracks Durant with a big right hand but Durant just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Durant is not content to let Petz control the position.
Petz throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

Petz lands an elbow.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Petz working the ground and pound but Durant is defending the strikes.
Petz creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Durant sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Petz trying to control the position but Durant is working away.
Petz throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Sloppy strikes there by Petz.
Petz landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.
Petz throwing strikes but missing, from side control.
Petz is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Durant tries to improve position but can't.

Petz tries for a kimura but Durant is defending well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Woo Petz dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Petz throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Durant sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Petz shoots for a takedown but Durant saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Durant gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Petz tries to score a body lock takedown but Durant shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Petz is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Billy Durant has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Woo Petz.

Durant gets underhooks to prevent Petz's takedown attempt.
Petz is looking to take this one to the mat.
Petz is trying to drag Durant to the mat but Durant just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Petz drops down looking for an ankle pick but Durant pulls his leg out and moves away.

Durant forces Petz back against the cage and clinches.

Durant pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Durant gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Durant is trying to push Petz away but Petz has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Petz tries for a takedown. No joy.

Durant breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Durant forces Petz back against the cage and clinches.

Durant wants the takedown. Petz is fighting it off but Durant persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Petz's guard against the cage.
Petz has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Petz manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Petz lands a big shot there that rocks Durant but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.


It looks like Billy Durant has been cut.
Petz throws some wild stikes that Durant manages to avoid easily.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Petz is in the full mount, landing strikes.


Billy Durant's cut is getting worse.
Petz thowing shots but they're missing.

Petz is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Petz!
