Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shane Couper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maximus Glabar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Shane Couper! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Maximus Glabar! The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Donatello Bradman and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A telegraphed right hand from Glabar misses the target. No luck for Couper with that takedown attempt. Glabar fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Couper manages to avoid it. Couper doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Glabar tests Couper's chin there with a solid looking shot.
It looks like Shane Couper has been cut. Glabar connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Couper's hands. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Couper takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Couper scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Glabar is trying to stand back up but Couper is controlling him
Couper sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Glabar defending well though. Glabar is looking to escape. Glabar makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Glabar connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Glabar smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Shane Couper's cut is getting worse. Glabar cracks Couper with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Couper looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Glabar finish him?
Couper is rocked!
That's one minute gone in the round. Glabar throws a shot from downtown. Couper moves away and avoids it. Oh Couper is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Glabar throws a nice looking combination but Couper bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Couper seems to have got his legs back now. Glabar misses with a two punch combination.
Glabar looks gassed! Couper swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Glabar scores with a jab to the jaw. Glabar is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. A swing and a miss from Glabar. Couper is trying hard to land a takedown here. Glabar sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Couper tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Glabar throws a series of punches but Couper avoids them all with ease. Glabar stuffs the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Shane Couper. That's going to take a lot out of him. Glabar lands a jab. Glabar throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Glabar connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Couper's hands. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Couper slips a jab and a cross from Glabar.
Glabar is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Glabar scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Couper closes the distance and clinches. Glabar wants to break the clinch but can't.
Couper keeps control of Glabar as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Couper escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Couper takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Shane Couper's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. Glabar leaves Couper with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Maximus Glabar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nice shot lands for Glabar. Glabar connects with a jab.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Couper closes this distance looking for a takedown but Glabar circles away. Glabar lands a left and a right that send Couper crashing to the mat, dazed. Glabar thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Oooooh!!! Glabar has knocked Couper down with a huge combo! Glabar steps away and waves a wobbly Couper back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Jeez, Shane Couper's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked. Couper takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Glabar swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Couper closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Couper lands in his opponent's guard. Couper might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Couper trying to control the position from guard on top but Glabar is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Couper prevents Glabar from getting back to his feet. Glabar wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Couper manages to pass to side control. Glabar tries to kick Couper off but Couper keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Couper missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Couper thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Glabar kicks off Couper and gets to his feet. Couper really is a fat lump. Couper misses with a straight left. Glabar just misses with a punch to the body.
Glabar is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Couper had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté. Couper shoots in and bounces Glabar off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Couper stands and steps away. Glabar gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Glabar has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Couper shoots in looking for a takedown. Glabar tries to sprawl out of it but Couper keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Glabar manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Couper ducks right into an uppercut from Glabar. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Maximus Glabar dominated that round. The cut man is working on Shane Couper's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Couper walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Couper changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Glabar tries to avoid it but Couper manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Glabar to the ground. Glabar escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Maximus Glabar seems to be getting the better of the standup. Couper fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Glabar avoids it really well and circles away. Glabar misses with a two punch combination.
Glabar tries to bum rush Couper with a series of wild strikes but Couper uses good footwork to avoid the assault. A right-left combo lands from Glabar. Couper will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Shane Couper. That's going to take a lot out of him. Glabar drops Couper with a beautiful combination! Couper stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Glabar is looking for the KO!
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Shane Couper's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
