Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Aldo Raine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ari Gold (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Raine's entrance music is ES Posthumus. A fine choice. Gold has chosen All of the Lights as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
12 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Aldo Raine!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Radbod Blank and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Raine shoots in looking for a takedown. Gold tries to sprawl out of it but Raine keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Gold manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Raine misses with a jab, cross combination.
Raine has taken the fight to the clinch.
Gold is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
Gold lands a body punch in the clinch.
Gold lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Raine tries to circle away but Gold has him pinned against the ropes.
Raine ties up his opponent against the ropes and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Raine no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Gold tries to free his leg and advance position but Raine is retaining full guard.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Gold drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Gold jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Gold has gone for a leg lock! Raine slips out almost immediately though and dives into Gold's guard.

Raine drops back, looking for a kneebar! Gold looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Gold looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Gold!
Gold working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Gold looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Raine struggling a bit here.
Raine is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Gold's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Raine bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Gold's guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Raine accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Raine wants to control from the top but Gold keeps moving.
Raine stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gold swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Raine drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Gold dives on top into guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Aldo Raine will probably get the nod.

Raine tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Gold was well out of range. Poor timing from Raine.
Raine will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Raine swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Raine shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Gold sprawls well. Gold wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Raine gets slowly back to his feet.

Gold fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Raine on the side of the head.

Gold does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Raine lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

I would just about give that final round to Ari Gold.
Well Raine has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Aldo Raine spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
