Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vack Wards (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stephen Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wards comes to the cage accompanied by The Beast And The Harlot. Vack Wards could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Stephen Davis's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Vack Wards! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Stephen Davis! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Tiny Johnson and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wards drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Wards circles away from the clinch attempt.
Wards looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Stephen Davis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Davis misses with a series of wild punches.
Wards closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Wards landing a few strikes. Wards working the body and head with strikes. Wards scoring with punches from side control. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Davis is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Davis taking a bit of punishment here - Wards scoring with strikes.
Davis is rocked! Wards working the head with strikes. Davis is still in real trouble! Can Wards finish him? We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Davis can do anything to dispel that myth. Wards decides to stand back up. Davis shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Wards counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wards winds up and cracks Davis with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Davis seems to have recovered his senses. Wards not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Wards looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Davis on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Wards wants to free his trapped foot but Davis is holding on for dear life with his legs. Wards has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Wards working for a guillotine from mount but Davis is in no mood to give up. Wards looking to finish Davis with some ground and pound. This is bad for Davis!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Davis tries to lock up and control but Wards gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Wards lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Davis hang on? Wards scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Davis?
Wards has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Davis looks gassed! Davis tries to hold on but Wards postures up. Wards breaks from Davis's wrist control and lands an elbow. Wards scoring with strikes but Davis is staying in there. Wards looking to control but Davis is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Wards landing strikes from the mount. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Wards lands a big elbow. Wards postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Davis looks a forlorn figure.

Davis is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Wards looking to finish Davis with some ground and pound. This is bad for Davis! Wards dominating with strikes here. Davis really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Wards. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Wards with the ground and pound from mount. Davis defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Wards. Wards scores with a couple of good head shots there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wards is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Davis can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Davis tries to get back to half guard but can't. Wards scoring with strikes but Davis is staying in there. Wards lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Davis hang on? Wards tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Davis taking shots to the head. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Wards controlling from the full mount. Wards wants to control the pace but Davis is squirming around nicely. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Davis throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Wards counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Davis's guard now. Wards is in close to Davis's body, working some short punches and elbows. Wards could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Wards is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Wards wants to control from the top but Davis keeps moving. Wards cracks Davis with a solid left hand. Vack Wards overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Wards trying to control but Davis is working from the bottom. Wards postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Wards lands a couple of decent looking shots. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Wards trying to control the position from guard on top but Davis is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Wards looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Wards postures up and lands a big shot to Davis's brow.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wards wants to control from the top but Davis keeps moving. Wards looking to pass the guard.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Davis dodges the punch combination from Wards.
Davis tries for a takedown but Wards circles away easily and Wards counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Wards trying to control the position from guard on top but Davis is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Wards advances to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Wards lands a nice short elbow. Wards working Davis over with strikes. Wards trying to control from half guard but Davis is working away. Wards content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Wards decides to stand up. Wards shoots in but no luck this time. Davis misses with a combination
and Wards counters with a takedown into side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Davis is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Wards is controlling him well. Davis wants to control but Wards postures up. Wards prevents Davis from escaping the position. Wards creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Davis sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Davis is trying to buck Wards off. Wards fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Davis is trying to get back to his feet. Wards throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Davis doesn't manage to clinch there - Wards circles away.
A right-left combo lands from Davis. Davis tries for a takedown but Wards circles away easily and Wards counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Davis!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wards putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Wards landing punches. Davis is looking to improve his position but Wards isn't that keen on the idea. Wards with shots to the head and body - Davis looks very uncomfortable down there. Davis wants to control but Wards is having none of it. Davis tries to reverse the position but Wards maintains control. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Wards throwing strikes here but Davis is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

Vack Wards dominated that second round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Davis gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Wards is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Davis can do to turn this around? Davis lands a shoulder strike. Wards trying to stall but Davis improves his position.
Wards is fighting off a takedown attempt but Davis is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Wards to the mat. Wards regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Davis trying to control but Wards is working from the bottom. Wards wants to sweep here but Davis controlling him for the moment. Wards had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Davis is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Wards Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Davis's back instead. Davis covering up well under a series of strikes from Wards. Davis wants to get back to his feet. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wards punishes Davis with strikes from the back mount. Wards scores with a nice shot to the head of his opponent. Davis is looking for a way out. I really don't envy Davis right now.
Wards has Davis flattened out and is raining down punches. Davis is trying to defend against the choke here but Wards has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Wards Tightens the hold and Davis taps out furiously! Wards displays superior BJJ to win the fight.
