Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Paul Alson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lesean Mccoy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alson comes into the arena with Kasabian - Switchblade Smiles blaring out of the sound system. Paul Alson could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Lesean Mccoy's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Paul Alson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Lesean Mccoy! The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Paulsen Ambrosius and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mccoy throws a right and a left that both miss. Alson drives through with a takedown into guard. Alson trying to control but Mccoy is working from the bottom. Alson tries to free his leg and advance position but Mccoy is retaining full guard. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Alson wants to control from the top but Mccoy keeps moving. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Mccoy can do anything to dispel that myth. Mccoy looking to hit a scissor sweep but Alson is one step ahead there. Mccoy is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Mccoy controlling Alson's posture.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Alson with a jab. Mccoy throws a hook but Alson blocks it. Alson fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Mccoy to the ground. Alson is now in Mccoy's guard. Alson stands and throws Mccoy's legs to the side, diving into side control. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Alson lands a few punches from side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Alson misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Mccoy tries to bench press Alson off him but Alson keeps the position. Alson is chipping away with strikes.
Mccoy tries to improve position but can't. Alson happy to just control the position for now. You can see the frustration on Mccoy's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Mccoy tries to buck Alson off but Alson is having none of it. Mccoy is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Alson off and has taken his back! Mccoy scores with punches from the back.
Alson is trying to get back to his feet but Mccoy has full control of the position and if anything, Alson has just worked his way into a worse spot.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Alson is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Alson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mccoy on the ground. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Mccoy punishes Alson with strikes from the back mount. Alson looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment. Alson showing good submission defense here.
Alson takes a big shot to the side of the head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mccoy is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Alson manages to escape to his feet. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Alson looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Alson blocks the strikes from Mccoy.
Mccoy has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Mccoy wants to get back to his feet.
Alson trying to control the action but Mccoy is working from the bottom. The fighters are battling for position here. Mccoy manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Mccoy working a defensive guard here.
Alson in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mccoy controls Alson momentarily but Alson frees himself. Mccoy looking for a triangle here. Alson is fighting it but it looks tight! Mccoy pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Alson is tapping out - this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Lesean Mccoy! In his post fight interview, Lesean Mccoy started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
