Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Guilherme Santos! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ken Masters! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Alan Glass and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice takedown defense from Santos. No joy for Masters on that attempt. Santos will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Masters scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Masters is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Santos defends it well. Masters wants to work for an arm triangle but Santos is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Masters wants to pass the guard but Santos is defending well. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Masters is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Santos has managed to free his arm - good work.

Masters looks gassed! Santos is looking to get back to is feet but Masters passes into side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Santos prevents Masters from moving into mount. Santos is looking for a sweep. Masters goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Santos rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Masters's guard! Nice work there by Santos! Santos has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Masters is proving hard to escape from. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Santos avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Santos postures up and lands a big shot to Masters's brow.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Masters looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Santos wants to stand but Masters has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Masters is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Santos has his hands clasped together but Masters extends an breaks Santos's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Masters.
