Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Demetryos Rua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeremy Tonal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jeremy Tonal has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Demetryos Rua's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Demetryos Rua!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jeremy Tonal!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Cecil Peabody and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rua closes the distance and clinches up with Tonal, looking for a takedown. Rua pushes Tonal against the cage but Tonal circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Rua shoots in looking for a takedown. Tonal tries to sprawl out of it but Rua keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Tonal manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Tonal gets the takedown into side control.
Rua is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Tonal off and has taken his back!
Tonal manages to reverse the position and now he's in Rua's guard. Nice work there by Tonal.
Tonal trying to control but Rua is working from the bottom.
Rua wants to sweep here but Tonal controlling him for the moment.
Tonal postures up.
Rua is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Tonal is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Tonal looking to pass the guard.
Tonal must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Tonal lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Tonal works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Rua regains full guard. Nicely done.
Rua looking for a sweep. Not yet Rua, not yet.
Rua is looking to stand up but Tonal isn't so interested in that idea.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Rua keeping moving, preventing Tonal from controlling successfully.
Tonal connects with a couple of short punches.
Tonal lands a couple of digs.
Rua wants to sweep but no luck.
Tonal trying to control the position from guard on top but Rua is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Tonal passes into half guard.
Rua has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Tonal is working away from the top position though.
Tonal is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Nice strikes from Tonal there.
Tonal scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Rua wants to improve his position but Tonal is controlling well.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Tonal drops an elbow to the side of Rua's head.
Rua is rocked!
Tonal uses his free foot to push down on Rua's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Rua.
Tonal lands a heavy elbow.
Oh Rua is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Tonal postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Rua badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Tonal around the waist but Tonal pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Tonal is the winner by TKO! Tonal jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jeremy Tonal!
