Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dutch Matrix (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Elroy Kleinschmidt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Matrix comes to the cage accompanied by If It Bleeds, We Can Kill It. Dutch Matrix has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dutch Matrix! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Elroy Kleinschmidt! The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Eddie Farnsworth and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kleinschmidt misses with a looping left. Kleinschmidt gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
It looks like Elroy Kleinschmidt has been cut. Kleinschmidt looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Kleinschmidt tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kleinschmidt throws a hook to the side of Matrix's head but Matrix sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Kleinschmidt avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Kleinschmidt misses with a body kick. Kleinschmidt displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Matrix throws out the jab. Kleinschmidt closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Matrix has managed to clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kleinschmidt is trying to pull guard but Matrix has him pressed against the cage. Matrix is defending well against a takedown attempt. Dutch Matrix has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Elroy Kleinschmidt. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Kleinschmidt. Matrix blocks an uppercut.
Matrix lands a hook that snaps the head of Kleinschmidt backwards. Matrix lands a right hand that snaps the head of Kleinschmidt backwards. Kleinschmidt tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Matrix's elbow. Matrix throws a punch but it's blocked by Kleinschmidt. Kleinschmidt fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Kleinschmidt changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Matrix fights it off and pushes away nicely.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Kleinschmidt shoots in for a takedown and gets it. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Kleinschmidt working over Matrix with some ground and pound. Matrix looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kleinschmidt is just content to waste time from the top position. Matrix takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Kleinschmidt in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Matrix can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Kleinschmidt controls the pace. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Matrix looking for a sweep. Not yet Matrix, not yet. Kleinschmidt trying to control the position from guard on top but Matrix is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Kleinschmidt has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Kleinschmidt is in close to Matrix's body, working some short punches and elbows. Matrix knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kleinschmidt on the ground.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Matrix avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Kleinschmidt trying to control but Matrix is working from the bottom. Kleinschmidt stays in close to Matrix's body and controls the position. Kleinschmidt landing some decent shots from guard. Kleinschmidt scoring with some ground and pound. Matrix avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Matrix can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Kleinschmidt controls the pace.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kleinschmidt lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Matrix working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Kleinschmidt. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Kleinschmidt postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Matrix on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Matrix tries to get out of the position. Kleinschmidt throwing strikes from guard but Matrix blocks nicely. Kleinschmidt trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Kleinschmidt tries to free his leg and advance position but Matrix is retaining full guard. Kleinschmidt throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Matrix works some decent striking defense from the bottom. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Kleinschmidt trying to control but Matrix is working from the bottom. Kleinschmidt sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Matrix's guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Elroy Kleinschmidt dominated that round. The cut man is working on Elroy Kleinschmidt's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Kleinschmidt throws a jab but it's blocked by Matrix. Jab from Kleinschmidt. Kleinschmidt ducks under a wild hook from Matrix. Matrix throws an off balance right hand
and Kleinschmidt counters with a lovely straight right hand! Kleinschmidt takes a swing at Matrix's ribcage but misses. Kleinschmidt steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Matrix. Matrix takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Kleinschmidt throws a front kick that sends Matrix stumbling back into the cage. Kleinschmidt misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Matrix misses with a straight right. Kleinschmidt throws a quick inside leg kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Matrix walks into a stiff left hand from Kleinschmidt. Kleinschmidt jabbing away but nothing is landing. Dutch Matrix is winning the standup battle so far. Kleinschmidt cracks Matrix with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Matrix falls to his knees and Kleinschmidt doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:23 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Elroy Kleinschmidt! A determined Elroy Kleinschmidt didn't want to dwell on this fight in his post fight interview. Instead he was more keen to state he wants a title shot. Let's see if he gets it!
