The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
James misses with a takedown
and Sal decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in James's guard.
Sal drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Sal jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Sal is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Sal thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Sal drops back looking for a leg! James is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and James manages to kick Sal off! Sal jumps back into James's guard.
James really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sal. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Sal drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Sal as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! James screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Sal! Nice submission victory there!
