Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Maciek Lubicz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Eleve (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Maciek Lubicz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, David Eleve!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Roger Salmon and Josh West.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Eleve lands with a cross.
Eleve fails with a takedown attempt.

Eleve closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Lubicz did well to prevent Eleve getting side control.
Lubicz on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.

Lubicz looking for submissions off his back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Eleve thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Lubicz's head.
Lubicz is breathing heavily.
Eleve wants to control but Lubicz is keeping him busy.
Lubicz keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Eleve really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lubicz. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Eleve wants to pass the guard but Lubicz is defending well.
Eleve throwing shots but Lubicz is blocking nicely.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Lubicz looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.

Eleve seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Lubicz does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Eleve is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.
Lubicz looking to control.
Eleve postures up and lands a big shot to Lubicz's brow.
Eleve trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Eleve won't allow Lubicz to get back to his feet.
Eleve's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Eleve wants to pass the guard but Lubicz is keeping the position.

Lubicz has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Eleve can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Eleve connects with a couple of short punches.
Eleve throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Lubicz works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Eleve trying to control the position from guard on top but Lubicz is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Lubicz looking for a guillotine here but Eleve defends easily.
Eleve throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

Lubicz working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Eleve doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Eleve manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Eleve throws a big elbow that misses.

Lubicz looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Lubicz looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Eleve tries to free his leg and advance position but Lubicz is retaining full guard.
Eleve stopping the sweep attempt from Lubicz.
Eleve is working Lubicz over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Eleve trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Lubicz has his foot on Eleve's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Eleve works his way back into a safe position though.

Lubicz looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Lubicz utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Eleve throwing strikes from guard but Lubicz blocks nicely.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

David Eleve dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!



Eleve throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Lubicz was covering up waiting for the punch and Eleve finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Eleve trying to control the position from guard on top but Lubicz is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Eleve throwing strikes from guard but Lubicz blocks nicely.
Eleve lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Eleve looking to sit in guard and control but Lubicz gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Eleve is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Eleve bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Lubicz's guard.

Eleve got a little sloppy there for a moment and Lubicz has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Eleve has managed to get both his arms back between Lubicz's legs - danger averted.
Eleve is working Lubicz over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Eleve is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Lubicz keeping moving, preventing Eleve from controlling successfully.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Eleve is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Eleve slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. David Eleve wasn't active enough on the ground.
Lubicz dives in and grabs Eleve's left leg, looking for a takedown. Eleve pushes down on Lubicz's head and hops out.
Lubicz tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

Eleve closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Eleve lands in his opponent's guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Eleve is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Lubicz has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Eleve is looking to defend but Lubicz has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Eleve! Lubicz pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Eleve taps out and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:21 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Maciek Lubicz!
