Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bjorn Randon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lance Soza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Bjorn Randon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Lance Soza!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Ivan Kurochkin and Vladimir Khabensky.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Soza misses with a takedown attempt

so Randon counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Soza looks gassed!
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Soza keeping moving, preventing Randon from controlling successfully.
Randon pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Soza is keeping the position for now.
Randon trying to control but Soza is working from the bottom.
Randon throwing strikes but missing.
Randon wants to control from the top but Soza keeps moving.
Randon stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Soza swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Randon advances position into side control!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Soza stops Randon from passing to mount.
Randon trying to control the position but Soza is working away.
Soza takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Randon postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Randon could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Randon is working Soza over with some ground and pound from side control.
Soza dodges the ground and pound from Randon.
Randon works to advance to full mount. Soza defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
The referee warns Soza that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Soza can do anything to dispel that myth.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Randon looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Randon postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Soza looks a forlorn figure.
Randon lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Soza hang on?

Soza is rocked!
Randon raining down shots from the mount!
Soza is still in real trouble! Can Randon finish him?
A nice elbow there by Randon.
Randon loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Soza scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Randon land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Randon stands and salutes the crowd.
