Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Yury Vesnev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Asgeir Borgermoen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Yury Vesnev! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Asgeir Borgermoen! The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Albert Achterberg and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A telegraphed takedown attempt from Borgermoen is defended easily by Vesnev. Borgermoen takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Vesnev is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Borgermoen takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Vesnev throws a chopping leg kick but Borgermoen manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Vesnev throws a body kick that misses. Borgermoen fails to land the takedown. Vesnev misses with a wild body shot.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vesnev shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Vesnev takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Vesnev has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Borgermoen takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Borgermoen sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Vesnev working Borgermoen over with strikes. Borgermoen is trying to get back to full guard. Borgermoen missing with punches from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Vesnev is figuring out what he wants to do next. Borgermoen wants to improve his position but Vesnev is controlling well.
Vesnev scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Vesnev working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Vesnev is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Vesnev has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Borgermoen wants to sweep but Vesnev has passed to side control! Borgermoen seems a little lost for a moment, as Vesnev dominates the positioning. Vesnev connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Borgermoen some visible discomfort.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Vesnev is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Borgermoen will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Borgermoen stops Vesnev from passing to mount. Vesnev lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Borgermoen is trying to escape the position but Vesnev is controlling the position. Borgermoen is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Vesnev lands a nice forearm strike. Vesnev is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Vesnev wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Borgermoen, who protects the arm well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Borgermoen taking a bit of punishment here - Vesnev scoring with strikes. Borgermoen sneaks back into half guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Vesnev looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Borgermoen with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Borgermoen tries to roll over but Vesnev keeps him under control. Borgermoen taking some punishment here, with Vesnev in his half guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Borgermoen moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Vesnev distracts Borgermoen with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Yury Vesnev dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Borgermoen ducks under a wild hook from Vesnev. Vesnev swings away with a body shot that misses
and Borgermoen counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Yury Vesnev overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Vesnev looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Borgermoen wants to pass the guard but Vesnev is keeping the position. Vesnev keeping moving, preventing Borgermoen from controlling successfully. Borgermoen stopping the sweep attempt from Vesnev. Vesnev had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Borgermoen defends it easily. Vesnev manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Borgermoen manages to get himself to full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vesnev stays in close to Borgermoen's body and controls the position. Vesnev trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Vesnev slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Borgermoen is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Vesnev forces his way into half guard. Vesnev seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Borgermoen tries to roll over but Vesnev keeps him under control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Vesnev uses his free foot to push down on Borgermoen's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Borgermoen. Borgermoen tries to hold on but Vesnev postures up. Vesnev scoring with strikes but Borgermoen is staying in there. Vesnev sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Vesnev with the ground and pound from mount. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Borgermoen taking shots to the head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Vesnev breaks from Borgermoen's wrist control and lands an elbow. Borgermoen is trying desperately to improve position. Borgermoen takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Vesnev tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. The referee warns Borgermoen that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Vesnev raining down shots from the mount! Vesnev controlling from mount. Vesnev lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
This has been an exciting period of action! Vesnev scoring with strikes but Borgermoen is staying in there.
Borgermoen is rocked! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Vesnev looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Borgermoen covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!
